The announcement

Fujifilm says the U.S. rollout reached all Google Photos users and describes additional print formats, frames, décor and gifts. These are company statements, not our product test or a recommendation.

Our studio take: approve each format

Check the crop separately for each intended print size. Keep faces, text and meaningful details clear of the edges rather than assuming the whole source image will fit.

Compare the proposed formats side by side before ordering. A portrait, square and landscape treatment can tell different stories even when they start with the same photograph.

Review the physical destination

If a frame or mount will cover part of the image, include that visible opening in the review. Preserve the original file and save the approved crop as a separate version.

These are Chromatic’s image-preparation observations inspired by the announcement, not claims about the storefront’s specific crop controls or our service catalogue.
